Overlighting Corals?

Hi, I'm trying to decide on lighting for a 29g reef, and I'm wondering about corals getting too much light. I like some of the soft low-light corals, but I also want to have some SPS in the tank, I really like the look of hard corals. Are there any corals that I should specifically steer clear of, that are known for being picky about too much light? I'd like to do MH, so it'll be at least over 200 counting a suppliment actinic bulb, and possibly close to 300 if I go with a premade fixture.

I would look through the coral forum's and ask the experts, I do. Depends on depth of plant, wavelength, and heat issues come into play on a smaller tank. Good Luck !

With the soft stick with the t5 the hard and clams go with the MH. I have one 39 for some soft and then i got a HQI for the clams. this way i can have both and make sure i dont fry my corals. Some need the light some cant take the light some can become used to the light over time with proper light acclimation.

I'm not sure I understand, you have two separate tanks, one for soft and one for hard? Or you have two lighting systems on the same tank?
