ok need refresher here been years ?

ok need refresher here been years !
have 100 lbs of sand in tank 30 lbs of bace rock in the tank right now !
is there a faster way now to get thro cycecl of tank ?
or is it still put damzels in tank and let it go ?

You can quickly cycle a tank with just live sand and live rock. I am not sure how others feel about adding damsels to speed up the cycling process but IMO it is not necessary. Depending on the tank size, you can cycle in a couple days with live rock and live sand....just add your live stock very slowly though.

Do not use a fish. Anything that says it can speed up your cycle is probably lying and/or wrong.

Do you have any live rock? If so, you are going to need at least some to import the bacteria that you need to build up during your cycle. Put your dry rock and sand in, put in some live rock, then feed it just a little bit of fish food/flakes every day or so. Then in 4-6 weeks you should be good. Use that time to make other preparations for the tank. (is your quarantine tank setup?)
