This might work for a 5 to 10 gallon tank with soft easy to care corals like mushroom. It's only 28 watts. I believe the number is 3-5 watts per gallon for soft corals and 6-7 watts per gallon for stony corals (SPS).

You can get better lights (those are junk) for about the same price from any of the established retailers. The links below are just examples but come from trusted retailers. I'd stay away from ebay too many scams in my opinion. I would do a little more research into what you want to put into the tank and their light requirements then shop around. In my instance I have a 29- gallon DT with 96 watts of T5 HO which is sufficient for most corals. I also have about $400 invested in the lights and bulbs.

you may be able to grow some mushrooms, maybe xenia, and maybe a few other soft corals. i personally would not get it for even soft corals. i would go 4 t5 bulbs minimum for any corals.
