Flatworm Exit use
I have a 90 gallon tank that was pretty infected with Flatworms. I used it two days ago with the correct dosage and still see quite a few. Is it a good idea to use the rest of the bottle today? When I did the first dosage, the corals barely noticed. I spent hours vacuuming them out over a week.

FWIW, when I had flatworms, I did 2x the instructions dose on the first go round, and 3x dosage on the second treatment a week later (per discussion with Habib-salifert's resident RC poster back when they had a forum here) with no ill effects...except to the flatworms of course.

sorry to hijack a bit,
i've got those harmless flatworms (the red with 2 tails) and want to get rid of them before they get out of control, I've read lots of fwe posts and theres about 50-50 good to bad experiences. My question is, would interceptor kill them? seems everyone who uses it for red bugs reports no losses, no problems. If it does work it seems like the better alternative no? |

Its not the flatworm exit that causes the problems cuz its the worms themselfs when they die they realese a toxin thats harmfull to fish corals and what not thats what scares me id hate to lose anything going to try and be prepared for the worst.

Be VERY VERY careful when using this stuff. Most people have more flat worms than they can see and when you add this they generally die very quickly and do a number on your water quality. I would be prepared to do a 50% water change very shortly after adding this or you fish and corals will not like you. When they flat worms die off they release a toxin in the water which can cause serious problems.
