too much light for ac 70 fuge?

too much light for an ac70 fuge? i have it sitting right on the lid but i think its to hot and gonna cut some slits in it for vent. -chris |

I don't know but my icecap led retrofit is 7 watts really bright but only puts out a par reading of 10, on the other hand a 10 watt cree puts out a par around 100. So it depends on the leds. You didn't say what's in your fuge but Macro algae like chaeto needs a yellow white light. It won't grow under a blue light. Venting is a good idea if it is hot.

i have some live rock rubble and some chaeto, it is like a 50/50 light
