after cleaning skimmer pump-no skim???

Have a Remora pro on my 75 gallon for 5 months now. Not overly pleased with it but it does skim. Cleaned the impeller and housing on the Mag 3 pump which was quite dirty and now getting no skimming at all!!! Really, like what is that about. Moved the ring in several positions and nothing. Any guesses? Thanks

All my skimmers have taken a few days to a week to skim after cleaning.

Even just cleaning the pump can take days before I see consistent skimming.

Update it started skimming 3 hours later. Didn't expect the skimming to cease. Thanks again, appreciate the input.
