ATB 840 Skimmer Questions
I am having trouble finding out the differences between the ATB 840 V1.5, V2.0, 840 small with the ehiem pump and the deluxe 840.
Can someone please explain it to me what the major differences are aside from the price. I have a 75 gallon reef but will be upgrading to about 180 gallon total water volume. thanks |

Mostly the pump. But the deluxe is taller and two bubble plates.

Does the mini air star perform that much better than the ehiem or would I not notice the difference on my 75 gallon?

Don't know that. But the v2.0 has the best pump yet. But you can upgrade to it later if need be.

The Eheim is the best pump in my opinion. The V2 pump is better than the PSK on the Econo and V1.5. The pump inlet on the small is lower than the V1.5 and V2 so if you upgrade to the V2 pump on the small you will have to prop the skimmer body up to line up the inlet with the pump outlet.
