Question Sump size

Hi all
how to know, which dimension of sump i need if i have a tank 140g tank.

You want to go with the largest size you can fit under the stand.

I would say either a 40gal breeder or a 55gal standard. Some will say the 40gal breeder will offer more volume than the 55gal standard. I'm going with a 55 on a 180 but I'm of the persuasion that a sump can't be too big. If it fits under the stand then go for it. You'll just need to check the equipment footprints (skimmers etc) to make sure you have enough room for all of it. There are plenty of varying opinions on this and I'm sure others will chime in on this soon.

Need a refugium? No
Are they beneficial? Absolutely
They help with nutrient export and de-nitrification, and are very cool to watch.

Current Tank Info: 180 gal reef tank with dual attached refugiums 20 long and 10 gallon. Plus 55 gallon True Percula breeding tank.
