Help ID please
Well I didnt get a pic of it but I will try to do that tonight when I get home.
I was blasting my rocks off a lil but last night with a turkey baster gettin ready for a water change. While a was blasting one rock in particular I noticed this white ribbon looking stuff. It looks like it is weaved in and out of the rock. It didn't receed while I was pushing water at it and would not come off either. It is completley white and looks like some ruffled ribbon. It is in a small circle pattern and like I said lookes weaved in thru the rock. I know it would be hard to say what this is without a pic and I will post one tommorrow to help with that but does this sound like anything anyone one has ever seen? |

Hard to say by those pics, but possibly a sponge. They are usually not a problem in a reef tank. GL!

I dont think it is a sponge as it is real stringy. I will try my luck again and try to get better pics of it. That 3rd pic kinda shows the strands a little better but I know still not good pics.

If this is the right place to ask, I just set up a few weeks ago, got some live rock and after a week found a few hitchhikers. A small reddish crap that I was told might be a rock crab and he's to small to possibly do damage. Also a Pyramid snail?>
I have today seen this yellow worm a few inches long with antenna? or whiskers. IS HE BAD? i ALSO SAW WHAT LOOKED LIKE A TINY BABY SHRIMP. (NO PIC) hE WAS VERY SMALL, BROWNISH WITH LIKE WHIE LEGS. sWEAR IT WAS A SHRIMP. i COULD USE all THE HELP YOU HAVE. tANKS RUNNING FANTASTIC, BLACK AND wHITE dAMSEL IS DOING GREAT AFTER A WEEK, NO SPIKES. aDDING A CLOWN THIS WEEK PRIOR TO ME KNEE SURGERY./ |
