7 inch deep frag tank led

I am running a small frag tank under the main display. Was using a cheap t5 to grow cheato but want to try some frags. Heard all bad things about the marine land reef brite led. Tank is only 7 inches deep. Thinking the par38 bulb would be overkill and the stand is enclosed so worried about heat. This will only be for the odd frags not a grow out operation. Any lighting suggestions?

Was debating about a diy led, and space is relatively limited.

Thanks
