Blue throat trigger carpet surfing

Just found my blue throat trigger on the carpet. The fish didn't act right from the beginning. He ran into the glass a few times before this. I've had triggers before but this one was just crazy. I had him for three days. He ate well and looked healthy. I have a canopy but the back is open. Guess i need to fix that.

had samething happen with my first redtail it really is a bummer. redtail 2.0 still jumps up & hits light cover every now & then. i think he enjoys it. sorry for your loss, triggers are really some interesting fish to keep

I had a blue throat that I put in my 210ga display originally...........he never acted right. About 3 weeks later I came into the fish room to find him in the 30 gal frag display. I can't even imagine the amazing jump that I still wish I had on video. The only path available was out the top of the 210ga, up about 10 inches at about a 30 degree incline, about a foot away missing the light fixtures suspended above both tanks. Anybody that I show the only jump path available says that it can't be done, but there he was just looking at me and acting fine.

He acted good for about 3 months until one morning I came in to find him dried out on the floor. No more Blue throats for me.

I do have a Pink Tail that has been with me for about a year now and is a pretty good tank mate all in all.
