Another Revive user. But I dip with interceptor and FW exit for 4 - 6 hrs before the 5 minute dip of revive.

Do you dip all of your corals interceptor and FW Exit or just SPS? Do you add Interceptor and FW exit to tank water and let corals sit in solution for 4-6 hours, then plop them in Revive for 5- 10 min before adding to tank?

Revive is good stuff but a few things: it won't kill AEFW eggs or MEN eggs and also most alot of people myself included have lost certain Acros to it. Hawkins Echinata is one that more than likely won't survive a revive dip.

I dip all corals prior to introducing them into my tank. That includes SPSs, leathers, mushrooms, forgspawn, zoas, colts, and flower pots and on and on. As mentioned above, revive is for coral cleansing, there are several types of tiny livestock who will not be affected and then you just have clean bugs. My typical sequence is 10 – 15 minutes in Pro-coral (iodine) followed by 5 minutes in Revive. Both are prepared using tank water. Following the revive bath, check the underside of the coral for any egg casings and scrape them off. Give the coral a through rinse with tank water and introduce them to their new home. Take a look at the bottom of the container that was used for the iodine dip and see all the bugs that would have been in your tank.

Revive will not kill most pests. I switched to coral r/x and I add I bit of interceptor if I am treating an acro. I usually add a few drops of iodine as well. I keep them in there for 10 to 20 minutes.

I don't know what pests you say that revive won't kill but it does kill AEFW, red bugs, and MEN.

You know I've been using Revive for over a year now and couldn't be happier.... for my zoas I usually just do a Iodine dip for 15minutes though..
