Emergency! Sea urchin help.

I'm going to post this here also to try and get as much help as possible. I just received a pink pin cushion urchin and when I opened the packaging, it's bag was almost empty and what little bit of water was in there was a brownish-yellow color. Almost all of it's spines have fallen off, but to my surprise it is still alive! Is there any hope for this fella? What can I, or should I do? Any comments will help. Thank you!

Not much you can do at this point. I would test the bag water's specific gravity and try and mix up some water (using your tank water as a start) to get that as close as you can and get the urchin into some water. Match temp as best you can too. After that just keep adding water fslowly (drip, etc.) from your tank to acclimate it. Would be great if your tank water's SG matched that of the little amount of bag water you have.

Good luck. Also, if this was an online purchase I would call them soon!
