how to figure out gph on two 1" drains??

I am setting up a 100 gallon corner tank and I need to figure out what size return pump I should get. The drains are two one inch drains locate at the back of the tank? does any one know a equation or some thing to figure this out? or maybe just tell me. thanks

Thanks for that Jeff, it helps a lot. I guess I have way more potential flow than I thought.

Installing a gate valve on the return from your pump will allow you the control to throttle it if need be.

those numbers are way off. 1.5"holes in back only do about 700gph each. 1" will do 350 max. use 300 to be safe. I would do 300gph total for your 100g tank. that way if one hole gets block you're still ok.

open holes in bottom flow much more. with durso in them they're closer to above.
