old style ballast for power compact
Hi all,
I have this style connection for power compact lighting: http://www.amazon.com/Power-Compact-.../dp/B000YJ0N8G I wonder if anyone can help me find a ballast to fit this. I guess it may be just as easy and costs the same to setup a new T5 system under the hood. I want to upgrade to LED, but I am trying to save money for it. Thanks ChrisS |

I don't know of any ballasts that have the same quick disconnect cable. FWIW new PC endcaps are not expensive; you might as well buy new ones with your replacement ballast if you want to stick with PC.

Just rewire it without that cord end fittings. IMHO you are better off going to your hardware store and picking up a florescent light ballast that matches whatever wattage your needing and hardwire it. You could still use that cord for the wires just don't worry too much about matching to the ballast. Those old ballast are huge and heavy! I have an old Energy Savers Unlimited ballast that uses that type of plug and it the ballast alone weighs 50lbs. Or spends some money and buy a Coralvue/ IceCap 660.
