Cleaning a SumpBuddy40 (ETSS)
I tried to get the answers to the following questions on two other threads but did not get any responses. So, I thought I would just start a new thread. Here goes... I currently have an ETSS SumpBuddy40 on my 90gal. I routinely clean the collection cup, tower, injector assembly and riser tube. I have not however, cleaned the mixing box which is now starting to look like it needs to be cleaned. Can anyone tell me how they clean their mixing box on this skimmer? My thoughts are that I could just soak it in a vinegar and water solution but I'm not sure if this method would somehow damage the skimmer or alter the effectiveness of the skimmer. Hopefully, one of you SB40 users out there on the forum can help me with some advise/suggestions. Thank you.
