help
hey I am very new to all this and have almost no knowledge on how to set up a tank and was wandering where you got all your knowledge from and what i need to set a tank up.

To Reef Central This is actually an easy question: we have it all written out for you. Read all the sticky notes above that are marked with a ***, and then ask anything that doesn't make sense to you.

Sk8r Salinity 1.024-6; alkalinity 8.3-9.3 on KH scale; calcium 420; magnesium 1300, temp 78-80, nitrate .2. Ammonia 0. No filters: lps tank. Alk and cal won't rise if mg is low. Current Tank Info: 105g AquaVim wedge, yellow tang, sailfin blenny,royal gramma, ocellaris clown pair, yellow watchman, 100 microceriths, 25 tiny hermits, a 4" conch, 1" nassarius, recovering from 2 year hiatus with daily water change of 10%. |

There is also a good book for beginners by Michael S. Paletta... The New Marine Aquarium. The book has some good stocking advice for newbies too.

Definitely use the search function as you'll find answers to specific topics you want to learn about. Before I started, I read for hours and hours on this forum learning about mistakes others have made and certain things I should do. I must have spent about 3-4 months before I even set up my tank reading. Definitely a good thing that you are here!
