Scratches in glass removal?
I have a starphire front pane glass that came with an area of it that has very thin scratches on the outside of it (cant even feel the scratches with your finger). Given they are so thin, is there something that I can do to buffer them out at least just enough to not be so obvious, but not distorting the glass/view?

Bump.
On a local forum someone was recommending Pledge Furniture Polish over it. Any other thoughts?

It is not something you can do at home. Live with it. There is an industrial process to remove them, but the distortion in the glass is worse than the scratches.

Can you get it replaced from whoever you bought it from? If it is new, then it is a manufacturing or quality control defect, and should be made right.

I've read that white toothpaste can help remove fine scratches in glass. Just buff it by hand, it may take a few applications.

I tried to take some scratches out of an aquarium front. Impossible, even when I called in a professional. Put all my stuff in a plastic trashcan for a few days and drove the tank to an aquarium shop. Got it back like new. That's the only real solution.
