New 180 setup

Good evening all. I recently purchased a 180 gallon tank off of craigslist. I will be building a new stand and hood this weekend and also drilling the back side of the tank for a 24"x5"x4" overflow with 2x1.5" bulkheads and 2 3/4" returns. I am setting up a 55g tank to be my refugium as well. The guy I bought the tank from threw in a Rio 3100 pump, and I figure the return will have about a 4' head on it. The guy I purchased the 55g from has an Iwaki40RLT, for about $75. Would that be a better pump, or should I go with a bigger pump. The Rio is listed for about 650gph at 4', and the iwaki 40 about 750@ 4'. I also have an MP40w in my current 55g reef that will be moving over.
What do you guys/gals think about going with the iwaki40rlt. The guy also has some genx pcx40's too, but heard they are loud.
Thanks!
David
