What tests are needed?
I'm starting a FOWLR tank and purchased a test kit for pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate.
What else should I be testing for?

i am going to second the post above me. A refractometer will run you around 40 dollars but they are completely worth it. You can purchase a cheaper version for around 10 dollars but they are not in the same category of performance. I use a Sybon refractometer but I am sure there are many quality brands.
