Frogspawn needs Help?

My new Frogspawn, I don't think is doing so well
I've had it for about 3wks? now. The first night it was in there.. my peppermints went crazy on it.. I even thought the shrimp ate it. but it opened the next day BUT.. it has not opened as full as it was when I purchased. I thought it was just ticked and taking its time to reopen. Then.. I added another powerhead.. and my tank finally has great flow!! so...
I'm wondering if the flow is too much? if it is.. I don't know what to do.. cause there is nowhere with less flow anymore..

My frogspawn appreciate moderate flow and moderate lighting. Too much flow and their polyps and flesh can tear off. You might consider moving yours to a different spot in the tank.

My cleaner shrimp used to bother the frogspawn, which sometimes prevented full extension. Luckily they moved on to different rocks, and have been kept well fed, just in case.

there is no where else for him to go
I was hoping that the flow is okay and he just needs to adjust...
you think he's annoyed by the flow?
I'm wondering if I may need to sell him?

One thing that we did to get some lower flow areas for our frog and torch was to angle the powerheads up slightly and point there flows at each other. We now have some good moderate/lower flow areas and the frog and torch are doing great.

+1 to angling powerheads up slightly. Or try moving the frogspawn a little lower.

is the video not clear enough? should I try to make a better one?
the new powerhead is a 1400.. no matter which direction you face it in.. theres lots of flow lol

Edit: maybe video with actinics will show the flow v. frogspawn better..

you could also try to "shield" it from the flow by moving it behind that pillar a bit. I'd say move it down and in a sort of alcove. My one frogspawn doesn't like a lot of flow either so I had to move it way down and it's still getting some pretty good flow lol. I only have 2x koralia 1400s in my tank but boy those things move some water! I also angled one of my powerheads a little bit up to try and cease the flow a bit.

I've got the powerhead on the right aimed at the back glass, the one on the left is towards the front glass. My returns are pointed at the powerheade to create some turbulence. Frogspawn is near the center of the tank on the bottom next to my toadstool. You should be able to create similar flow characteristics with your powerheads.

When I added my second vortech my frogspawn did not like it at all, and like your situation there really wasn't anywhere to move it so I left it where it was. After a few weeks it adjusted to the flow and it is now doing better than ever. Try to move it and also give it some time to adjust.

Thanks everyone for all your advice!! Very much appreciate!
I'll attempt to make the flow "quieter" in his area.. if not.. I will give him a little longer to see if he adjusts.. FINGERS CROSSED!!! lol

yes mykol.. I have a castle.. 2 actually
