How many AI SOL's?

Looking to get some AI SOL's for my tank. Trying to figure out how many I need. AI recomends 10, a retailer recomends 6. Tank is a 240gal tank, 72x30x25 dimensions, mixed reef system. It also has a canopy that will limit me to mounting them with the bottom of the light about 7 inches AWL. How many do you guys recomend? I was thinking I could get away with 4 until the retailer said 6! Thanks in advance!

Go with the bare minimum and have more on preorder status. You'll know when you setup the minimum how many more you'll need. Better to go with fewer than wasting too much money.

Yeah due to the limited height you'll need 6 minimum. The 1 per 24inch is only if there hung 12 inches over water level.

I'd say start with 6 and go from there. They should last for a long time and are nice units.

I did 3 over 3 feet and it's perfect.
