New tank cycle
I just finished the bleach, rinse, and dry out method for cleaning some rock. I'm going to be putting these rock into a new tank and fish and a few coral from my old tank will be moving into it.
I figure I will set it up with a sand bed, using the live sand that comes packed with some water. Should this be enough to cycle the tank (46 gallon) in about 1.5 months or less? Would adding microbacter 7 be of any benefit to speed this process along? And while I have this thread open, what are you all using to glue rock together with? It's dry now so I'm at an advantage. Thanks.

just get dry sand, the live sand in a bag IMO is a waste. cycle the tank with a raw shrimp.
as for glueing rocks together I have been using pc-marine epoxy and it works good.
