Proper use of Mangrove trees?
I thought I would ask the "experts". I read online that you need 1 mangrove tree per gallon to work properly for the system.
Now if I have a 265 gallon aquarium I need 265 mangrove trees lol? I just don't see this information being correct, if it is what is a better way to achive the same results? |

What are you trying to remove with the mangrove trees? Mangrove trees are nice to grow in a system but I wouldn't use them as my only type of filtration. My system is a little over six hundred gallons and I currently have about 50 in one of my sumps and I'm planning on adding another 50 or so. I think they play a part in the whole filtering system so when you combine them with live rock, live sand, seagrasses and other filter media they will help give you a more diversified and natural system.
