It's harmless sponge. Your tank seem to have a bit of algae problem too.

Yes. Lacking in the water change department. Probably need to bolster the CUC a bit. I've seen various suggestions, but what does anyone think is sufficient. Right now just FOWLR. No corals want to get into that when I get make tank looking good.
