Protein Skimmer for a 29 gallon?
Hey guys,
So I'm new to the saltier side of aquarium keeping and need some help as far as equipment is concerned... I have a 29 gallon tank at the moment, though I would like to be able to keep my options open as far as upgrading to a 55 at a later date. So instead of spending $150+ twice, does anyone have a suggestion on a skimmer that would work for both tank sizes? Thanks a ton, Scott |

Are you looking for a HOB or an in sump? I can't speak for in sump but I have a Eshopps PSK 75 HOB on my 30 and I love it. Works great, easy to dial in and broke in very quickly. Also it's very quiet. They also have a PSK 100 HOB if you plan on upgrading and in sump models.
Others recommend the Reef Octopus but I've never had one. |

I think I'd like to stick with HOB...
I've read good things about the Aqua C Remora, any experience? |

I've read mixed reviews about the aqua c remora and the Eshopps 75 and 100 HOB. I was thing about buying the Eshopps 75 HOB for my 40 breeder.

I can say I've never had an issue with my Eshopps psk75 HOB. Been up and running for months. Skims great and like I said easy to setup and dial in, plus you can get the psk75 for about $120.
I've never used the aqua C so I can't comment there. |

I just got a Eshopps PSK 100H HOB from Aquacave for $127. I like it doesn't take long to break in. I am using it on a 29 now but will be going on a 40 breeder.
