Micro pump off ebay
Hey guys, im looking for a few small powerheads for my tank, and these seem to be the best, as there small, and put out a suprising GPH. but i'm unsure of the quality of the, has anyone ever used one? if so, do you like them, hate them? ect. any imput is appreciated

Please... get a vortech.
No really. I used those pumps and they were ok BUT there is no reason to get anything other then the classic maxijet if your buying that type of pump. Maxijet 900 is a way better pump.

I would if i can aford a vortech. but i cant right now. The tank is a 5 gal, 18x18x5". im having trouble finding a pump that wont cuase a sand storm in such a shallow tank, which is why i figured these would be a good choice

I would look into the following (in that order):
1. Tunze Universal pump Mini 5024.04 2. Micro-Jet 3. Mini-Jet Anything else might be too big for a pico. You wouldn't find a better pico pump than the Tunze as far as price, performance, and size is concern.

upon further research, i found a tunze mini pump, its only 80 GPH but i would rather loose some GPH, but buy tunze quality.
EDIT- i didnt refresh the thread so i didnt see you posted Lol, i think im going to go with the tunze mini pump. Just cant beat the tunze quality lol |

The pump can be easily mod for more flow.

EDIT- lol posted at the same time. so cutting the nozzle off gave it more GPH? |
