What is this worth?

I got a 20 inch current USA 250W sunpod with a set up I just bought. I dont think I will be using this light so I would like to know what it might be worth. It comes with a working bulb not sure how old, a hanging kit and legs. All the LED's work good the unite is about 2 years old. Thank you!

How old is the halide in it, what is the brand of the bulb? The overall condition of the light?

I am not sure of the name or age of the bulb. A new one is around $50 for the ones that come with it. The over all shape of it is really clean. The glass is good, all LED's work, fan works, and it comes with the hanging kit.

humm, discontinued...

Im guessing because there are more and better technology out there, it would be worth not that much... Sorry. But even if they are great lights, not many people will pay big money for a used fixture that has been discontinued.

It is discontinued because current USA is no longer in business. It's a pitty too because they made some really nice fixtures, arguably some of the best. I think there is still value in this light, it is not LED but it is HQI so I wouldn't say it is "old technology". I would expect you to get at least $150 for it.

Thanks for the heads up! I did some more searching and found some others being sold. Sounds like your are right on it they are going between $150 with old bulb and about $200 with new bulb. Thanks again.

I like to aim for 50% of retail when selling used equipment.

Current USA is in business still. How do explain the LED systems they are selling? They stopped production on the Sunpod units a while back. They may have discontinued some T5 stuff too but I haven't heard that yet.

Their fixture are middle of the line, not some of the best. They are good starter units but I have had trouble with every unit I ever bought from them. All three had ballasts go out somewhere between 12-16 months. It is a common theme with their equipment for things to fail. They don't use proper T5 ballasts either and they under drive the bulbs.
