Super Reef Octopus XP1000sss
How is this skimmer in terms of being finicky or not? If I keep it at a steady 5 1/2" water depth, can I set it and forget it, or does it always have to be tuned after turning it back on after feeding etc.
Thanks, Ken |

I have the standard SRO-1000, and it is NOT finicky once you find the sweet spot. I have 1/8 of a turn between wet and dry skimming, no joke. I set it, and forget it, even during feedings. The bubbles just go down, and gently rise back up back to normal over time.
When I turn it off for water changes, it just goes back to work, no issues with it. I would imagine that the SSS is the same manner. |
