cracked SCWD

Anyone ever have a 1" SCWD inlet hole crack and start leaking? how'd you fix it? Also I have a Pondmaster 2400 that is really loud,is this normal?

well tried using 2 part epoxy, didn't work...Now i cut off the screw threads and glued fitting directly to the body of the SCWD..see if that works!..Then i go to hook up my pump and it has a crack..I'm about to pull out what little hair i have left

With cracks on both pieces, are you sure you aren't over-tightening?

they didn't show up until i hooked up the pump..i guess all the wriggling around to mount it and tighten unions caused them

Sounds like you are being a little to rough or gorilla arming them.

I have had a 1" sqwd, doesn't take much effort, should not crack very easy. Same with the pump, I have plumbed hundreds of pumps, only ones every cracked was my fault.

Yes Mag24 are loud pumps.

Trust me my friend, the names are not important at all. I've own hundreds of different zoas and palys and don't know the name of a single one. In my opinion, they are a waste of valuable time.

I think you can order a replacement body from the manufacturer.
