Help with Algae Problem Please

I seem to have an infestation of algae. It is all over my live rock, and spreading fast to my corals. I was told it is a macro algae, and that a tang would eat it, however I have a 28g nanocube, so I do not want to get a tang. I currently have about 40 crabs and 2 Mexican Turbos. I was wondering if there was anything else I could get that would be more effective at eating this algae. Any help would be great on how to get rid of this.

Any possible chance you could post a picture or two? Or describe what it looks like? If I were to take I shot in the dark I would guess hair algae.

Is your tank bare bottom sand or crushed coral?

Sand. He will get pics up soon. It is sort of brown and leafy looking. He showed it to the LFS guy and they immediately said macro and a tang would eat it. I am not convinced of that.
