how to get snails to eat seaweed....?

I have a 29g Biocube with stock lighting that's been up and running for about 7 1/2 weeks. I have 25 lbs of cured live rock and 40 lbs of live sand. I added a clean up crew consisting of 3 turbo snails at about week 4 when I had a huge outbreak of hair algae. 2 false clowns were added at the beginning of week six. All algae disappeared shortly after the CUC was added and I've had absolutely zero algae pop up since. The tank is absolutely spotless and I've got zeros across the board on all my parameters....Which kind of impresses me as my only filtration is the InTank media basket with filter floss, purigen and chemipure elite. No protein skimmer (have one hooked up but not in use), no fuge with macroalgae, no nothing.

Now I'm worried about my turbos. I know that seaweed is a good substitute but I don't know how to get them to notice it and eat it. I've weighed it down with paper clips, I've pasted it up against the glass with a magnet and get nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I care???? Seems kinda cruel to let them starve.

LOL, I don't mean to laugh, but believe me when they get hungry enough, they will find it. The reason you see 0 new growth is because they are munching it up before you can see it, all types of film algae grows & is consumed by the CUC, just keep your lights on for a normal cycle & they will be fine.

+1

When they see it, they eat it. You don't have to worry about feeding them they are pretty hardy and can find food themselves
