Apollo LED

I don't see much talk about these units. They seem priced very well. I am very strongly considering these for my 125 gal 6 foot. Does anyone have any actual experience with them as in actually owns them and not hearsay? They look like nice units.

Well I do not own them, just hesitant with fixtures that use 1w LEDs, would be interested to know the par ratings through water, assuming you are using them on a reef.

I have 2 of the 20k on the back side of a 48x48x24 deep tank.
it would be on the right side in the picture. they are over my favorite corals
& actually coloring them up a bit over the previous set up which was
20k 400 halides.

Im still debating about purchasing this fixture which is a awesome system. if i do i was considering making a L shape frame out of aluminum and house them inside using the standard hanging kit.

I have two Apollo Solar Blast Ultra 15K over my SPS 120 gal.Had them for over two months ,couldn't be happier. My growth is excellent and colors are great. It took about a month for my corals to fully acclimate going from T5.They are very bright.Mine are hanging about foot over water level and my SPS on the bottom of my 24" deep tank are growing very well. Two of those units cover my tank perfectly with light,no dark spots. Here is recent picture ,blue LED only, with all LED's on overall look is more like 10K-12K.

Looked at that stunner strips. I like 453nm wave lenght for a moon light effect. Looking at the fixture it seems like they have 12 LEDS and uses 6 watts. Thius means roughly 1/4 watt LEDS that should be fairly inexpensive. But I''d need 4 of these for a 120 gallon tank and that could be overkill for moonlighting.
