Things in my tank
I was looking at my tank today and noticed a few things on my live rock. Don't have any pictures but will try to describe. There are a few things that look just like little brown mushrooms. I also have a little colony of things that look like little tiny palm trees. If the current gets to much on them or if I try to disturb them thy go into themselves. Any ideas what these things are? I also have some small snails and a small hermit crab.

Palm trees white or red? They're probably feather dusters - totally harmless. They can also be pest anemones, like mojanos or aptasia which you'll need to get rid of before they take over. You can tell the difference by seeing if when they retreat if they go into a hard tube, or into the rock itself. If its a tube, its a featherduster. Rock, bad anemone.
Little brown mushrooms? Well, they're probably little brown mushrooms. lol Can also be some type of palythoa too, both harmless. Pics would defiantly help.

The little palm trees don't retract into the rocks. They pull back and leave a little tube sticking out of rock with the tips of their "feathers" sticking out. They are a brownish red color. Now that you mention it, they actually look like feather dusters.
