RO/DI waste water plumbing ASAP
So I am currently flushing out my new RO/DI for the first time and all is going smoothly so far. I originally had the waste water line from the RODI simply shoved down the hole where the waste water from the washing machine runs (i was advised to do this from a RC member), but I have a bad feeling about doing that. The waste water from the washing machine cant be just filling up a reservoir in the wall can it? I feel like if I am going to do it this way I will have to attach a drain saddle of some sort? For now the waste water from the RODI is draining into the washing machine. Any help asap would be appreciated! Thanks

If you want to use place it in the machine. If you don't just put it down any drain you want. Depends on how much you want to conserve honestly. Mine drains into the tub and out the drain.

The washing machine drain is a drain just like the toilet, tub, sink, etc. All leads to the sewer line or septic tank.

The reservoir in the wall through me. I don't know septic systems, sorry there. Anyway you could just drain it outside? Run a longer drain tube and out a window or possible hole drilled and sealed shut.

I have my waste water from the rodi put in the washing machine drain. It's a drain, not a reservour. Drains to a septic tank or city sewer.

If you've got a toploader washer, put the wastewater into the washing machine tub. It'll be cold water, but it's perfectly good water for washing clothes, once you use the machine. Since it's about 4 g waste to 1 g ro/di, even running 30 gallons of water can add up.
