I have been debating for a few months between the octopus and the swc. Got the swc 300 cone this week. Pretty impressive. Build quality was impressive and performance second to none. This replaced my Beckett.

I will say the sro series is popular but IMO the swc is better. I actually purchased a sro5000 and returned it for a swc230 with the askoll pump and IMO the quality and bubble size and how quiet the pump was everything seemed a little better on the swc. Just my opinion tho. Levo

I have a SWC 250A Cone with an Askoll 1500 on my 190 and it rocks. I'm pretty sure the Askoll with the SWC white volute and pinwheels bass is the best skimmer pump out there. Its basically performs as well as the vaunted Red Dragons as they are also Askoll based.
