Could Herbie solve my problem?
My drains are way too noisy.
![]() I have a stock 120 oceanic tech tank with 2 durso drain pipes. My sump is in the basement so it drains about 15' or so with only a panworld 100px for return. The two durso drains are 1" then t to 1.5" below the tank. |

I know mine are dead silent. One of my tanks, an 80g, is in my bedroom. I HAD to find the quietest drain possible.

Herbie's use a siphon so they will be dead silent. Be warned though once you silence your drain, you will start hearing other equipment most likely.

I would leave the durso's and just drill a small hole in the top. Just start with a small hole then drill it bigger and bigger till the flushing stops and its quiet.
