Back after a year. Few questions?

So finally got settled in the new house and decided i want to do a salt tank again. Im just doing a simple tank.

Tank: 40 Breeder, drilled with overflow
Sump 40 breeder or a 29 gallon i have in garage
Lighting: retro 4x t5HO
Powerheads: still debating what to do
Skimmer: saw a ASM g3 on craigs that is a good deal. (open for suggestions)
i plan to run gfo reactors and all the fun stuff to help in the sump.

The main question i have is this is my first Drilled tank with a sump, plumbing the tank to sump and back is not a problem but the question i have is what size return pump should i get?

As far as stocklist:
Pair of snowflakes or platinums
1 RBTA
maybe a hammer. torch and a few acans for color

was going to do 30lb dry sand with 20 lbs live from a existing reef tank
and planned on 40lbs of rock from the same existing reef tank
the rock and sand are from a buddies 500 gallon that has been set up for almost 7 years now so i know the source and what the rock and sand have gone through.

Overall im stuck on the return pump and what powerheads to get, i always like the korilias when i had my last tank, just were alil "bulky" for a 40 gallon.

Always willing to hear sugguestions and thoughts as i dont know everything but i know enough since my last tank was 2 years old.

I'd say maybe a mag 9.5 or a 12. If you buy a 12, you can always use a valve to throttle down. Establish an ATO and plan to use kalk for your hammer and you'll be seeing a lot of growth: sub a frogspawn for the torch: torch is hot and tends to inhibit other corals. You might toss in a caulestra (candy cane: easy and prolific.)

Salinity 1.024-6; alkalinity 8.3-9.3 on KH scale; calcium 420; magnesium 1300, temp 78-80, nitrate .2. Ammonia 0. No filters: lps tank. Alk and cal won't rise if mg is low.

Current Tank Info: 105g AquaVim wedge, yellow tang, sailfin blenny, royal gramma, ocellaris clown pair, yellow watchman, 100 microceriths, 25 tiny hermits, a 4" conch, 1" nassarius, recovering from 2 year hiatus with daily water change of 10%.
