Build up under protien skimmer stand
Hello, I have been noticing some build up of crud underneath my protein skimmer stand. I'll clean it up and in a week it'll be back.
My nitrates have been pretty low, but never hit 0, which is my goal. I was thinking this collection could be playing a part in it. My thought is to add a powerhead to prevent the stuff from settling there. To those that have experienced similar... would you think this is worthwhile and has anyone helped lower their nitrates by doing this? Thanks

I'd say go for it. Things settle where there is little to no flow
