Flame Angel as a first fish
The reef fish forum gave me a great amount of feedback. Curious now on the precedures. Will adding a flame angel first be a problem in a 50g? I want to make sure I stock appropriately so that in the end I don't have the most aggressive fish going in first
My stock list tentatively (50g rimless cube). 1. Flame Angel 2. Clown pair 3. Fridmani 4. Wrasse (unsure which one and not sure if even possible because they jump) 5. Toby puffer... if I can get over my fear of them eating snails/corals Honorable mentions (would take place of wrasse and/or Toby Puffer) : 3 Green Chromis, or scooter blenny, or ???? Thanks guys

dwarf angels in general shouldn't go in first, you can but it will be come very aggressive and territorial (i know cuz i did it lol)
you wanna throw in peaceful fish first and the more aggressive ones last, i couldnt wait to throw in my coral beauty so i did so first and now i regret it :/ |

I would start off with the Clown pair. Get them small enough so they won't be too aggressive. Flame Angels aren't the hardiest fish in the world and I would wait to add one when your tank is more mature.

Be aware that the BG Chromis' will likely attack each other. I bought three and the two bigger ones killed the smallest, and then left each other alone.
I think your best bet if you want to keep them is to try and get as similarly sized specimens as possible, so they can take the abuse from one another until things settle down and a heiarchy is established. I do recommend them though, because they add a lot of activity and movement to your display. So far all my fish are hiders except for the Cromis'. They swim actively all around the tank, even searching in the caves and stuff. Their sleeping habits are amusing too, where the other fish have one spot they stick to, the Chromis' sleep in all different spots of the tank, and you will find them in the oddest of places. Sometimes they cuddle right up with the two clowns, sometimes they sleep near each other and sometimes one sleeps on the opposite side as the other. Under rocks, in holes, ect. Like a lot of fish they change to an ugly, drab color at night.

My Flame Angel is quite the bully; although she doesn't actually attack, she chases the timid fish around. So, I agree with other responders that the angel is not the best first fish.
