Reef Tank Redo...Gonna need some help

Hi everyone. I've been running my 55 gallon reef tank for a year now, and I have decided that I am going to redo it, because I have learned from my mistakes, and want to make things much better for my tank. I have a few questions:

1. I plan to take out all my LR (because of some GHA I can't control), and put in BRS/Macro Dry Rocks. Will this move basically "reset" my ammonia cycle?

2. Second, I plan to take out all of my live sand, because it has gotten a mess, and replace the fine sand I have with the Aragonite sand that many fellow RC reefers use. (I forgot what exactly the brand is, so if someone could remind me the name, I'd appreciate it.) Will this also have any negative effects?

3. By taking out all the LR and LS, will this eliminate the GHA for good?
(The cause of the GHA outbreak in the first place was because I was doing a Water Change, and accidentally replaced my used mixed saltwater with Natural sea water...please don't ask, it's a long story lol)

4. Should I keep my original water that's already in the tank, or should I re-mix 55 gallons of new saltwater. (I use reef crystals).

5. I keep a variety of SPS and LPS...how bad will this switch hurt them?

Basically, I plan on doing a minimalist aquascape.

I'd really appreciate your guys' help, and am open to questions/comments/suggestions for my tank re-do.

Thanks in advance.

1. will need to cycle. ...but why buy new rock? look at bleach and acid wash your rock would be as good if not better then new dry rock.
2.i would get tropic edens reeflakes sand.
3.for good...no if you have poor husbandry in the future I'm sure it ill be back.
4, new water is what id do.
5.you need to find someone to keep your fish and corals while you slowly rebuild your tanks bacteria..you would be starting all over. just like a new tank.
