Why is Starry Blenny picking on my sand sifting star on sandbed?
I just added a sand sifting star and my starry blenny is picking on him.
Will he keep doing this until he kills it or is it just bc it is new to tank?

They are in competition for the same food source. Sand sifting starfish don't just eat algae :P.
At the same time the starry blenny might not have any idea what it is and it's nature defense is telling to attack. Unless the blenny is pulling off arms, or the star fish is losing arms I won't worry about your star fish. They are very tough. |

its because its new to the tank...
starry blennies can be very territorial lol mine use to bite me when I had my hand near "his" cave.. he gets so ticked whenever ANYTHING is near "his" cave  he attacks snails til they move.. he picks up hermits and drops them on the other side of tank  he even attacks my scraper.. but gets excited too because he knows I'm scraping the algae off the glass... they are quite humorous lol what personalities!!!! love my starry!!!! he should settle down.. he's not actually hurting it.. just telling it to move!!!!!!
