algae cover for overflow

Hey guys, I've had my overflow going for about 24 hours now, upped the flow (now that i'm a bit more comfortable)

you can see a pic of it in this thread http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2078860

I used plans from melevs website.

I plan on making a Durso for it to silence it this weekend.

what is the best way to cover the overflow so it doesnt accumulate algae?

I use a piece of black acrylic and just set it on top of the overflow.

I went to Staples and got 2 of their black plastic clipboards for like $1.99. I cut the clipboards just slightly bigger than my twin overflows, and they sit on the upper trim.
