Lighting for sump
Hi all, quick question for ya. I recently upgraded my 40B to a 250w halide, that left me with a leftover 3 (4th doesnt work) bulb t5ho fixture with 3x39w 10k bulbs in it. I placed this in my sump.
It is about 14-16 inches above the water, and I have no means of getting it closer. Should that still be enough power to grow chaeto in the sump? |

Sounds like plenty. You probably don't even need that much.

Ok, was just concerned that the distance to the algae may require a more intense lighting
