coral identification
Picked up two frags today, looking to have them identified, thanks in advance.
The one has mettalic green striping and the other is dark purple. |

Looks like a torch coral and some xenia. Keep the torch, pitch the xenia, you will never get rid of it if it takes hold in your tank.

first pic -- is a lobophyllia (kinda looks like a euphyllia at first, but looking closer , i see thats just oddly highlighted bumpy flesh)
corals up front to the righ is pom pom xenia or redsea xenia - xenia umbellata brown soft coral in the back is colt coral aka alcyonium and far right is a red discoma mushroom second pic----- merulina sp. Last edited by acrohead500ppm; 10/12/2011 at 05:54 PM. |
