My new innovative nuvo nano 16g ADVICE please!!

I just wanted to say ahead of time that I'm glad to be a part of this forum and thanks to all of you that can offer me some thoughts or advice.. I am familiar with keeping successful fresh water tanks and have always desired a tank with a clown and host bta.. That is basically all I want .. I want this in an area of my home where I spend most of my time.. That is why I have chosen the look of the innovative nuvo 16g.. I also considered the new cad lights pico 18g.. I have been reading up watching you tube videos and doing some research for awhile now.. I am READY and excited but a little nervous too.. I don't want to kill anything and want to give my new pet clown a nice environment .... I know I can't add the host until my tank is at least 6 months and doing well.. I want to stay as small as I can to start out and then maybe down the road move on to bigger.. I basically know how to get started but what I need to know is can this particular tank be a suitable home for a clowny percula and bta host?? The cad lights has lighting eqv. of 75w T5HO.. The nuvo 16g is my first choice and has 2 Skyye LEDs 10000K each. Do I need to ad an extra Skyye led to boost it to three lights?. I am sure I want an AIO so please offer me any ideas or let me know if any of these tanks will work.. I plan on having a tunze nano skimmer also..And also staying on top of water changes and upkeep.. Ok all you experienced reefers please help this newbie!! Haha!! THANKS a TON!!!

I have a Nuvo 16 build that I am currently in the middle of. I have the stock lights on the tank and they are definitely not enough light, as far as PAR, for an anemone. I doubt that the CAD system would be either. Your ideal setting would be a full spectrum LED that has the same PAR output as multiple T5's or a halide, which is costly i.e. EcoTech Marine Radion and Vertex Illumina. As far as filtration, I really like the stock setup. I have a pair of clowns, a couple cleaner shrimp and some non-photosynthetic sponges in my tank at the moment and they are all doing fine. I am, however, adding a Tunze 9002 Nano DOC Skimmer to the middle of the rear chamber. I think that it will make it an ideal setting for a bio-heavy animal such as an anemone. You will probably hear that most people would recommend at least a 30 gallon tank for a BTA, but I think if you get up the filtration well enough you should be fine. Just remember that flow is very important to an anemone as well. They will move around the tank if they cannot find adequate flow and light, so at the very least you should get Innovative Marine's Spin Stream Return Nozzles. Best of Luck with your tank and welcome to Reef Central.

Hey, I have the same tank. I have not set it up yet, but anyhoo, no way is the light good enough for a BTA. Also, I don't think even adding a third light would provide enough light in the long term. Anemones need very strong lighting and these lights don't cut it, IMHO.
