What type of sand for DSB
Is it ok to use sugar sized sand for a deep sand bed?

For a fuge or your display?
Doesn't really matter in a fuge but in your main tank most people want a larger grain because of critters stirring up the sand (creating a sand storm)

I was thinking about it for the display tank. Its probably not really DSB, I have about 1 to 1.5 inches in my tank and was thinking about adding more over time. All together I want it to be about 3 inches probably.

If you can stick your finger in the sand and move it around and you are happy with the amount floats in the water go with it its mainly personal preferences
I get a little crazy with my mag float when cleaning my glass lol so sugar size would not be good for me
