Pistol shrimp/watchman goby qt question.

Just a quick question here. I am planing on getting pistol shrimp/goby pair and I plan on keeping the goby in the qt I've set up for 4 weeks or so. Is it a good idea to keep it there with the shrimp and would the shrimp be OK in there with no sand to dig in?

The shrimp should at least have a place to hide like a small ceramic pot or other decorative item to feel safe.

Are you going to do this as observation or actual treatment? The only treatment that I could foresee the shrimp surviving would be prazipro.

I really am new to this and I was planing on observing only to begin with. If I notice anything wrong with the fish I'd get the shrimp out and then treat after figuring out what was wrong. I didn't know the shrimp would bare the prazi treatment. Thanks for the info. Should I treat with it then as a preventive measurement?

I wouldn't treat until you see if there is anything to treat.

The only time I might do otherwise would be with a dwarf angel and prazi, since the odds are good that they will have flukes.

Sure thing. Think you will be very pleased once they are in the DT -- love my pair.
