Help plumbing question

Can u use pex piping for a reef aquarium or does it need to be sch 40 or 80 piping?

i used schedule 80 for all my piping. its not overly expensive and you can get everything you need at a hardware store like menards. i don't think i would trust using pex personally.

I don't see any reason why Pex tubing wouldn't work, schedule 80 PVC is going to be far more rigid though, I guess the Pex would give you quite a bit more flexibility.

Many use pex. I'd recommend schedule 80 wherever possible to avoid kinking and because it is much more rigid!

PEX is too expensive.

It would all come down to what size tank you getting. On my 90 i use 80 , but if you have a smaller drain then you can get away with 40.
