How to get rid of guck in water on top
I just noticed it today...tried moving one of the blowers up towards it and it aint doing anything? What do u recommend? Maybe just suck it up when i do a water change?

Aim it toward the skimmer intake or overflow.

Paper towels, place them on top till they saturate and carefully remove.

DOC's, disolved organic compounds. Aim a powerhead at the surface to break it up so it can be pulled into the overflow or hob skimmer.

Use a pre skimmer if you can, I have one on my remora and its awesome

agreed, if there's an overflow your best bet is to get the surface water directed towards either that or the skimmer intake.

overflow? All my tanks in the past have had calfo overflows (I think that is the correct term) where the overflow runs across the entire length of the back. I would say increase surface agitation....
